A wonder strike from 25 yards by Callen O Neill earned our U13 Boys a fantastic win away to local rivals Newmarket FC. The game was played in excellent conditions for the large majority of the evening where both sides were evenly matched. Our defence stood up to everything that was thrown at them with our Keepers coming to the rescue when called upon. A tireless display from our midfield kept us in touch with a very good Newmarket side and when the chances came, our strikers were unlucky not to score. However the moment of the evening came when a long ball reached Callen O Neill, who controlled it, and with only one thing on his mind, he struck from 25 yards out to score a cracker and earned his side a 1.0 win. A massive evening for this group of boys who are improving all the time and celebrated at the end in thunderstorm conditions. Well done to all involved and thanks to all the parents who came to support.
