Shannon Town UTD U12 White travelled to Fern Celtic on Tuesday. It was a very entertaining game when both sides giving 100%. Shannon Town moved the ball around the pitch with some great displays of control and great passing. A great through ball from Mark Hodges put Jacob through for a two on one where he produced great strength and got his reward with his first goal. The second half was a stale mate for the first 15 minutes with Fern starting to get more control of the game. We reintroduced Jacob, Conor Keane and Jamie Watson. This made a difference straight away when we were rewarded a penalty, Connor Keane stepped up and scored his second goal from the penalty spot this year. Moments later, we were awarded a free outside the box. Up stepped the birthday boy Peter Donegan and he scored a screamer of a free kick. But the lads weren't finished yet, another great pass through to Jacob saw him score his second for the night. A great game between 2 very strong teams.
We are very lucky to have a big panel with all the lads putting in great displays, our goalie Cian Buckley made some great decisions in playing the ball out to the full backs,(Kasper,Finn &Ryan) this brought in the wingers and the midfielders, the lads passed the ball around very well and with confidence. All the hard training is starting to pay off.
