Our U12 Boys travelled to Avenue Utd earlier today to take part in the Back to School Cup 2022. Avenue, Bunratty Cratloe, Salthill Devons, Dynamic Coaching and Shelbourne FC participated with our lads pitted against Bunratty Cratloe, Salthill Devons and Avenue. We played out a thrilling 1-1 draw with Bunratty Cratloe FC only to lose out on penalties. Joey Carrig scored our goal with a brilliant run and finish. Salthill Devons proved too strong for us and were very impressive, but our lads worked very hard against them and never gave up. Our lads regrouped and won 2-1 against Avenue FC in a fantastic final group game, to put smiles back on the boys faces. Liam Hogan scored both goals with a well taken finish for the 1st goal and a header after some brilliant build-up play on the right wing for the 2nd. The 16 player squad had a cracking day out, enjoying all the snacks, burgers and treats that were laid on. A huge thanks to Patrick, Helene, Kevin and all at Avenue Utd for looking after all the players and coaches. Finally, thanks to all our parents for their support and to all the coaches for looking after the boys. Well done all.
