The B team secured a win on the road Sunday afternoon when they took on Connolly Celtic away in Kilmaley. Both teams started well pushing for an opening goal but both defences stood strong to hold off any real threat, the away side grew into the game and forced the Connolly keeper into making 2 good saves from long range efforts. Both teams evenly contested in the first 45 minutes 0-0 at the break.

The home side putting the Town defence under a bit of pressure early on forcing 3 corners in quick succession but the Town men dealt with the pressure. As the 2nd half pushed onto the 65 minute and the Town management making 3 changes to freshen up the attack. 5 minutes later Eoin Collins found Ryan Hodge in the middle of the park who in turn played an inch perfect through ball to Adrian Carew who curled his shot around the on rushing Connolly keeper to make it 1-0. Connolly pushed in the final 10 Minutes for an equaliser but the Town men defended all that was thrown at them to see out the win.
